Falls Church

The Falls Church office of Children’s Speech and Language Services was founded in1980 by Donna Gaines.  Originally located in Arlington, VA, the office location was moved to Falls Church in 2016. Jenifer Midili purchased the business from Donna in 2017 after spending seven years working at both the Springfield and Arlington offices. CSLS Falls Church is a sole proprietorship.  Our philosophy is that quality of services is vital to each child’s growth.  Every child’s treatment is individually tailored by identifying weaknesses as well as strengths.  Read more…

Ginny Hemmer
MA, CCC-SLP, PCI - Clinical Director
Springfield

The Springfield office, founded in 2006 as a satellite location to the original Arlington office, is directed and owned by PROMPT instructor, Ginny Hemmer. Since its inception, the Springfield office has operated as a sole proprietorship as opposed to a large corporate entity. Quality of services is the main emphasis, as opposed to quantity. Most of our sessions are 40 or 53 minutes in length and not dictated by insurance reimbursement. With highly qualified therapists on staff (to include 2 PROMPT instructors), the Springfield office can help your child reach his/her full potential in most areas of speech and language development.  Read more…

We address problems with processing auditory information, phonemic/phonological awareness, and executive functioning. We provide language stimulation and parent coaching.

Our Falls Church Office is now offering the Fast ForWord Home Program for children with auditory, language, and reading difficulties. Children can now access this amazing program from the comfort of their own home on a schedule that fits each family’s individual needs. Consultations are provided weekly or bi-weekly by a trained Fast ForWord® provider in order to fully support your child’s growth. Sign up for the program can be done at any time during the year and provides participants with access to the programs for a full year from purchase date.

CSLS & Good Beginnings Collaborate

Good Beginnings OTs and PTs work collaboratively to help your children and family achieve your goals, utilizing similar but distinct approaches. Pediatric Occupational Therapy focuses on assisting children with promoting independence in activities of everyday life, otherwise known as “occupations.’ Children’s occupations include: reaching developmental milestones, engaging in play, performing self care (eating, sleeping, dressing, grooming, bathing), performing academic tasks (handwriting, fine motor skills, attention/focus), and socializing.

Pediatric Physical Therapists focus on optimizing movement for all children, from birth to adulthood. Our therapists will evaluate your child’s movement abilities and create a plan of care to help your family achieve your goals. This may also include prescribing mobility and exercise equipment, orthotics, assistive devices, and developmental toys. All of our intervention is play based; we make the challenges fun!  Learn more!
