Falls Church

The Falls Church office of Children’s Speech and Language Services was founded in1980 by Donna GainesOriginally located in Arlington, VA, the office location was moved to Falls Church in 2016.  Jenifer Midili purchased the business from Donna in 2017 after spending seven years working at both the Springfield and Arlington offices. CSLS Falls Church is a sole proprietorship.

Our philosophy is that quality of services is vital to each child’s growth.  Every child’s treatment is individually tailored by identifying weaknesses as well as strengths. Most of our sessions are 40-53 minutes in length.  This is determined by what is best for the child rather than being dictated by the insurance reimbursement. The highly qualified speechlanguage pathologists on our staff can help your child reach his or her full potential in most areas of speech and language development.

Areas of expertise include treatment of childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and complicated impaired speech production using the PROMPT system, the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education’s Orton Gillingham method to improve phonological processing, reading and spelling, orofacial myofunctional therapy, feeding, early intervention, alternative and augmentative communication, social skills groups and fluency disorders, to name a few.  Clinicians on staff include a PROMPT instructor, PROMPT certified therapists, a Certified Orofacial Myologist, feeding therapists, a LAMP Certified clinician, Orton-Gillingham trained therapists, Hanen trained therapists, PEERS® and social skills trained therapists.

In addition, Sage, the Clinical Director’s therapy dog, can be found roaming the office. You can read more about Sage here.

This is in addition to many other therapists specializing in a variety of speechlanguage and feeding skills to promote communication and feeding skills.
